In May 2020, the StFX Art Gallery launched its first online exhibition on Facebook & Instagram.
Now people can view the 2020 Angus Macgillivray Art Bursary winners’ art via the Art Gallery’s new webpage, Online Exhibition – 2020 Angus F. MacGillivray Art Bursary Exhibition, featuring student artists Jordyn Conn, Wankunda Chola Bwalya, and Ken Matheson, http://www2.mystfx.ca/art-gallery/online-exhibitions
Along with the art, this page features a biographical essay written by Bruce Sparks of the StFX Art Department that delves into the life and work of Angus Macgillivray (1914-1978). This exhibition will be online throughout the month of June.
Finally, a friendly reminder (if you haven’t yet heard), the StFX Art Gallery, with the Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library, has put out an open call for Youth Art in the Pictou, Antigonish, and Guysborough counties for the gallery’s next online exhibition. Youth going into grade 9-12 or recent Grade 12 graduates are invited to submit pieces for the show. All levels and experiences are welcome.
